The 1731 Single Origin Rum Mauritius 7 years old is a Mauritian rum from the New Grove Distillery bottled by the independent rum bottler 1731. In 1731 the British navy decided to provide a cup of rum to each sailor each and every day as a part of his wage. 1731 Rum is an ode to that. The rums under this label are not coloured nor is any sugar added and they have all fully aged in the climate of the distillery. This 7 year old rum from Mauritius matured in ex-bourbon casks and was bottled at 46% ABV.
