This whisky was distilled at the Bruichladdich distillery in October 1990 before a 21 year maturation in a single cask. It was bottled for the Directors’ Cut range in 2012, and there are only 255 bottles available – all at natural cask strength. The nose is spicy and rich, with sweet sherry, manuka honey and a little vanilla. The palate is creamy and rich, with candied peels and vanilla, followed by allspice and a hint of smoke. Enjoy the long finish led by toffee, supple peat and spice.
