70cl 50% abv This is the second edition of the 3D series from Bruichladdich. Moine Mhor means "big peat" in Gaelic, and as with the other editions of 3D, this was a vatting of three different types of Bruichladdich, ranging from the older, lightly peated stock, to the much younger heavily peated whisky distilled for the Port Charlotte bottlings. As the name suggests, it's rather big in the peat department. Now long discontinued, it is very rare and collectable.
Nose: Fresh and crisp, great balance. 'Laddie' signature fruit salad notes. Oily, nutty. Malt. Subdued peat, whisper of smoke.
Palate: Solid note of peat, great balance, citric acidity, zest.
Finish: Medium length, oaked development, subtle peat, tannins.
