The cask make-up is somewhat complex: two separate spirits, one peated, one unpeated, are each matured in first-fill rye, fresh Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks before everything is vatted for the final bottling. The resulting spirit is lightly peated with rich dark fruit and spicy oak flavours.
