Old Ballantruan 15 Years Old is peat rich and exceptionally smooth Speyside peated single malt. Wholly matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, this fine single malt imparts notes of warming spice and a sweet yet spicy long-lasting finish.
Nose: Smoky and intense with aromas of grilled meats, bell pepper and green banana with hints of eucalyptus and maple sweetness.
Palate: Layers of grilled fennel, Pak Choi and cured meats mingled with rich fruit cake, liquorice, black olives and cinnamon sticks.
Finish: Warming and long with layers of marzipan, prosciutto and pistachio fading into a sweet, smoky, aniseed linger.
