Ardbeg Single Cask 3365 2nd Fill Bourbon Barrel (70cl, 52%ABV)

This single malt was distilled in 2002 and matured in a second-fill bourbon barrel before being bottled 18 years later at a cask strength of 52.0% ABV. Only 157 bottles were produced, making it a very exclusive release.

Nose: Smokiness that is softer than usual, with notes of light caramel and soft mocha. Vanilla, coastal peat, sweet pipe smoke, iodine, medicinal notes, bonfire, herbs, honey, and a hint of ripe banana.

Palate: It has an oily and creamy mouthfeel, with flavours of honey, vanilla, brine, smoke, peat, almonds, marzipan, tobacco, and pepper.

Finish: The finish is described as medium-long, warm, peaty, and smoky, with vanilla, herbs, and cigar tobacco notes.
