Ardbeg has released yet another exciting limited-edition whisky to celebrate Ardbeg Day 2021. Scorch takes its name from the story of the Flavour Breathing Dragon inside Warehouse 3, discovered by Shortie - Ardbeg's resident Jack Russell Terrier mascot - who stood up to defend the distillery and compelled the dragon to create a batch of fiercely charred ex-bourbon casks.
Nose: Intense peat smoke, soot, charcoal, roasted hazelnuts, fresh herbs, pine, lemon peel, vanilla, banana chocolate, and sweet peach
Palate: Burnt wood, scorched sage, herbal bitters, iodine, sea shells, caramel sweetness, cinnamon, aniseed, and nutty notes.
Finish: Long, cigarette ashes, tarry notes, black peppercorns, and rubber.
