Stauning El Clásico is a matured rye whisky that has additionally been aged in vermouth casks. The result is a warm and intense taste of newly-harvested grains with a spicy and bittersweet aftertaste.
Nose: Orange marmalade, spiced stewed apple, touches of red fruit sweetness, and cinnamon fudge.
Palate: Dried cherry, dark toffee, and more orange citrus, with a crack of black pepper that gives way to classic rye spice a few sips in.
Finish: A touch of herbaceous vermouth bitterness appears, with toasty oak.
